How to email user who filled out the form once it's saved

    Hello Jotform,

Just realized that all the forms that customers fill out are coming to me - but not them.

I'm creating journal prompts and homework assignments for clients to complete. Once they are done, I want a copy and I want them to have a copy of what they completed. I've added email function and it appears to do that if the form is submitted. However, if a user puts his email address in, fills out the form and then saves it to return later, I get the email but not him.

How can I make sure the person filling out the form - and not me - is sent the email to return to complete at a later time?

    Thanks!

    Hi @jsimpson1024,

Sure, that is an 'Autoresponder' and then you'll want to enable PDF attachments and select the form pdf. We have a full guide here, but in short:

In the form builder go to settings > emails > and then click the + symbol:

Then click on the 'Autoresponder' option:

Then you can configure it there, to add the PDF attachment go to the Advanced tab & toggle on the 'PDF Attachment' option and ensure the option is checked:
