I am working with a client on developing some workflows with Zapier and currently reviewing form platforms. We initially tested out Google Forms but ran into some issues so now looking at JotForms. Below are two questions we currently have:

    1. Upon a form submission, is it possible to have a unique ID generated by JotForm but also passed along via Zapier which will be dumped into a spreadsheet or AirTable?

    2. When a photo gets uploaded via JotForm, how does that pass along to Zapier? Is it a link URL back to JotForm or does the actual image get dumped into the destination which would be AirTable or a spreadsheet on our end?

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us.

    1. Upon a form submission, is it possible to have a unique ID generated by JotForm but also passed along via Zapier which will be dumped into a spreadsheet or AirTable?

Yes, each submission has a unique submission ID which can be passed to Zapier and dumped the data into different apps like Google Sheet or Airtable.

    2. When a photo gets uploaded via JotForm, how does that pass along to Zapier? Is it a link URL back to JotForm or does the actual image get dumped into the destination which would be AirTable or a spreadsheet on our end?

For file uploads, the link of the file will be sent through Zapier, not the actual file.

You can check this guide on how to integrate Jotform with Zapier.

I hope this will help. Let us know if you have further questions.

I'm not so sure if I understand your question correctly. Do you mean that it is required to log in to the JotForm account when viewing the image link?
Uploaded files can be viewed even without logging in to your JotForm account.

I have two additional questions while reviewing JotForm for my client:
    1. If we use the Dropbox integration, does the file upload skip storing it with JotForm and only stores it with Dropbox, or is the data stored in both JotForm and Dropbox?

    1. We were looking at the AirTable integration and was surprised it can’t link up with most field types. I would say over 50% of our fields were greyed out and weren’t allowed to be integrated. We ended up using Zapier again and it worked great, but still curious why it is so limited?
