How do I turn off form encryption?

    Hi There,

I had encryption turned off of my forms so that I could receive submissions from clients. And I do not have my privacy key. However, somehow the privacy key got turned back on and I cannot access my client's submissions.

I've had this happen twice with JotForm and am seriously considering switching platforms as this is not very user friendly with this reoccurring.

    Thanks,

    Sara

    Hi Sara,

    Happy to help!

Have you turned off encryptions in the form in question as of writing this thread? If you are still getting the encrypted entries when the form encryption is disabled, please provide the Form URL, so we can investigate further and advise on why this may be happening.

As you had mentioned you had previously turned form encryption off, you likely have already gone through this process; however, I wanted to include this to confirm the proces. You can turn off form encryption in the SETTINGS tab in the top menu of the form(s) in question:

As well, your encryption key should be downloaded into Downloads folder by default. This guide should be of help to locate the key on your device: Where Can I Find the Private Key After Downloading It

    Thank you!
