Duplicate entries in the submission table

We are using Jotform for our summer camp registration. I noticed we had some duplicate entries, and I assumed the moms were just accidentally submitting them twice. Then, I noticed one of our staff members registered her kids and had a double entry for one of them, so I decided to ask her about it. She said she didn't submit the form twice. I pulled the info, and the time stamp says two totally different days - February 19 at 19:07 and February 21 at 13.54. She said she definitely didn't submit forms twice - days apart from each other. If the timestamp was just minutes or even seconds apart, we may have guessed she double-clicked the submit button or something. But it seems that Jotform somehow generated the form submission twice. Anyway, can you give me any insight into these double entries? Is there anything we can do to avoid them, or can you do anything on your end?

    Hello Debby

The suspected reason for duplicated entries is the reload of Thank You page, this action usually happens by mistake on mobiles' browsers since opening a mobile browser will reload the not closed tab even after several days, so if it happens that your submitted form (Thank You page) was left on an opened tab, then reloading this page (Thank You page) will resubmit the last filled data again causing a duplicated entry.

To prevent this behavior you can add Captcha to the form or using external link as a thank you page which we recommend the most, by this solution the reload action will never resubmit the form's data again.
