Question about Read Only Fields

Asked on February 24, 2021 at 10:07 PM

    Hi,

I have seen options for Read Only Fields in forums for this site, but I cannot find them. We are trying to lock a field that we want to be auto calculated by the conditional logic we are using. We found our answer here https://www.jotform.com/answers/996936-How-to-lock-the-calculation-field-to-avoid-manual-input but in the options we did not find a read only option? Please help

    Thanks in advance!

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience. I have checked every active form in your account (robinhoodconsultingllc) and I have not found a Form Calculation widget on each one of them.

The screenshot below shows how you can set a Form Calculation widget as read-only to prevent someone from changing its (calculated) value.

Feel free to let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Greetings.

To use the calculated value as the total price, you need to use the calculation field. All calculations need to be done in the field, conditions can not be used for this:

After you have done with the calculations, you can select this field from the Payment settings:

This will automatically disable PayPal total field. You can hide the calculation field by right-clicking on it, or use the widget's settings to disable value modifications:
