leerdfamilypharmacyReplied on March 23, 2021 at 10:33 AMI have 2 jotforms from the template Dr. Neal covid vaccinations. At the
bottom of the first form reserve a dose, there is a widget that is supposed
to create a code for the second jotform complete reservation. It is
suppose to send an email with a link and the code so the person will have
access to the second form and to keep people from emailing the link of the
second form without doing the first form.
Thanks

Hello @leerdfamilypharmacy,
Thank you for providing the rest of the initial message.
First, I'd like to mention that due to HIPAA privacy policies, our support team is unable to access your account or forms for troubleshooting.
However, I did make clones of your forms to see how you have set up the widget and I found the issue. You are currently hiding the Random Value Generator widget which is causing it to not populate the URL parameters. If you want the value to be used in the URL, you will need to remove the "hide" option in the settings.
The widget already has the option to "Run in the background" turned on, so you will not need to worry about your users seeing the value.
Here is a screen recording to demonstrate how these changes will make the transfer of data work.
Please give this a try on your forms and let us know if you need further assistance.

leerdfamilypharmacyReplied on March 23, 2021 at 3:55 PMso after the patient fills out form 1, will I have to send the link and the
code for the second form "complete reservation" or will I have to manually
send the link for the second form along with the code?
Thanks
Earl Williams

Hello Earl,
If you continue with the form the way it is configured now, when the person fills out form 1, they will immediately be routed to form 2. And the Random Value will also be automatically sent to form 2 and placed in the corresponding field.
This will not require any manual intervention.
