possibility for a two step application to registration process?

    Hi there,

Does JotForm have any capacity for an application to registration process for enrollment? i.e. someone submits an application, then if that application is accepted, their data is uploaded into a registration form where they then register for the event. Like a two step process?

    Thank you for any insights!

    Best,

    Maggie

    Hello Maggie,

In short, you want to pass on the form data from one application form to the registration form. Is that correct?

If yes please check out this related guide - https://www.jotform.com/help/351-how-to-automatically-pass-form-data-to-another-form

Do try and let us know if this helps.

    Thank you!
So if someone completed the initial application (first form) and then upon accepting the application, I wanted them to register, could I send them a unique link with the pre-populated form that they could then complete in full? And then there is a spot to track when they have completed the 2nd registration form?
    Thanks!
    Maggie

Yes, you are correct. Create a pre-populated registration form based on the application form fields and add that link in the Thank you page or the autoresponder email - so that users can automatically see the registration form with their prefilled data and complete the registration form.

    Or

You can create a pre-populated registration form using the Prepopualte app and send it to them only if you have accepted the application: https://www.jotform.com/help/71-prepopulating-fields-to-your-jotform-via-url-parameters

You can see the data from the registration form on that form's submission page.

Great! And is any knowledge of coding required, or can I do this as a "lay person"?
Is it a pretty straightforward process?

There is no coding required here and any layperson can achieve this.

I have shared the links to the respective guides above. Just follow the instructions in the required guides and if you face any difficulties, let us know and we can help you out.
