    Hi

    Here is the workflow issue.

    1) Customer fills out form

    2) Details get added to table (i.e PrinceOS)

    3) Staff member attaches document to the certficate field from a storage source

    4) Staff member click on Send Email button, to email the customer with the email template which attaches any attachments in the attachment field column (attachment field labelled as certificate) inside the email.

the issue i am facing is the attachments are not being automatically attached into the email, all that is being sent is the name of the attached file not the actual file.

    Many thanks

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to JotForm Support! I suspect that the reason for this issue is that you have the setting "Require log-in to view uploaded files" enabled on your account. Can you please try disabling this setting from your Account Settings, and let us know if this issue persists?

If this does not resolve your issue, please provide us with the URL of the form in question, and myself or a member of our Team will be happy to assist you further.

    Thank you!

Hi, still doesn't work, please help.

I have attached a screenshot of the email received, it is still only saying file name but the actual file isn't presented to be viewed.

Please advise on a fix or guidance.

    Many thanks,

    Ali

    Hello there,

Thank you for the follow-up! Upon review here, I think I may have found another wrinkle that may be keeping these attachments from properly attaching to your emails. I have not been able to find a way to trigger an email to be sent, and have it include data that was left directly in Tables, and not on the form itself.

As a work-around, I would suggest adding a hidden attachment field to your form, and setting it to only be visible when the form is viewed via its Edit Submission Link. You could then add the Edit Submission link to your notification emails so that each time a new submission is left, you can open the submission via its edit link, upload the appropriate certificate, and then resubmit the form.

The User Guide below should provide you with a more detailed walkthrough, and I will be happy to help if you run into any questions while setting this up.
