Provide the ability to make the email notification conditional.

I second this. I have built a number of multi-form workflows using the older URL parameters method. The prefilled method would be so much more 'elegant' and easy, especially if changes were made to the forms later.

To add to this, I would also like to see these two features:

    1. Provide the ability to make the email notification conditional (just as you can now with conditional emails). Eg.: Call record has indicated that it is a request for quote form, therefore a pre-fill is done. If caller indicates it is a repair, then pre-fill is not done.
    2. Provide a report option to create a list of prefilled forms to allow embeding on a third party web page.

To help you understand, here's my scenario and envisioned flow:

    1. Client calls for a quote (this actually exists now) and a new record is created in the "Call Record Form"
    2. Supervisor sees the email notification of call and clicks on Edit Submission to view the Call Form filled with the submission record. (this actually exists now)
    3. Supervisor 'assigns' call to an estimator from a pulldown list, clicks on a single option selector to indicate "Quote", and clicks submit. (this actually exists now)
    4. The Jotform system creates a pre-filled record in the "Job Quotes Form" using the name, address, phone, etc. (this is NOT available now)
    5. An email is sent to the chosen estimator (to one or more recipients) with a link to the prefilled "Job Quotes Form".

We do have this type of thing setup now using URL parameters but it is a total PIA when we want to make changes. The way we do it is also not as streamlined for users.

Thank you for detailed explanation of your requirement, but I am not sure if I have understood your point #4 & #5 correctly.

Do you mean to say that you want the system to dynamically generate a prefill URL to pull the client's details, populate the "Job Quotes Form" and email it to the estimator?

I believe you can just use URL parameter to build such flow. I would suggest you to please share an example on how the data flow would be from initial form, and we will take a look.

We will wait for your response.

    Hello @ashwin_d

YES!! I'm looking forward to do this with the prefill feature.

Please note that with prefill, you can select which form and table data you want to use to populate fields and the system will automatically generate a prefill URL. It cannot be used to dynamically search for data and generate prefill URL accordingly.

I would also suggest you to please take a look at our "Spreadsheet to form" widget and see if that fits into your requirement.

You can upload an Excel file with all the client's data and a unique column data that could be the email field. When a user input their email address in the widget on the form, it will fetch the existing data from the uploaded Excel file and display in the form fields. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-how-to-use-the-spreadsheet-to-form-widget

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

I have used Spreadsheet to Form in the past and have ceased using it. It is a PIA when I change any of the forms questions. I have to rebuild the Google spreadsheets and any filters I have created.

Uploading Excel Files requires a manual step that is not practical.

    Greetings,

Unfortunately, besides the Spreadsheet to form widget, we don't have any other option that could work for your requirement of searching for data dynamically and prefill URLs.

Do you have any other questions?
