Approval process depending on answers given

Is there a way to factor email recipient conditions into an approval process? In the first instance, the form is sent to one of three email addresses based on the answer given to one of the initial questions - I want whichever email address it goes to to be the 'initial approver' and then there would be a 'final approver' which would just be one fixed email address.

When looking at the approval process, I could only see a way to use just one fixed email address for the approver stages so just wondered if it was possible to use this in conjuction with email recipient conditions?
