Hi,
I want to know if there is a way to populate a hidden field based on an option they choose in a different field?
Basically I have a drop down with a list of stores.
I want to be able to say, if they choose one of these 10 stores, check a hidden field with XYZ.
Is this possible?

Thank you for reaching support,
This is possible via condition where you update a field's value when the condition is triggered.
Here is the related guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/268-how-to-insert-text-or-calculation-into-a-field-using-conditional-logic/.
Can you specify which fields are involved in this so we can assist you better?
Awaiting your response.
Best.

That would be very helpful.
It is a dropdown with a selection of 100 options.
These 100 options are associated to a set of interests in a hidden field.
For example:
20 options in the drop down are associated with interest 1
30 options in the drop down are associated with interest 2
If someone chooses one of the options in the dropdown (and we know which interest it is linked to), I then want the hidden field to populate that option as a check box.

Hi,
You can use the Update/Calculate field condition to set the checkbox value to the selected dropdown.

Could you please share the form URL you are currently working on so we can check?
We look forward to your response.

The form URL is https://form.jotform.com/213181258258861
I need it to be that if they select 1 of any of the 20 options defined as fashion, it then check the fashion interest. That is the bit I am trying to do.

To better illustrate, I have recorded a short video on how it can be done. Here's the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6tt7lp8z21tl6bo/5XgOe6ZMZR.mp4?dl=0
If you have some questions, please let us know.

Thank you, I already could see I could do it one by one, but what I wanted to know is there a way to do it with out selecting each store and then making a condition for the 100+? can I do them in bulk?

Unfortunately, you would need to set up the condition one by one. There is no way we can create conditions in bulk.

That would take me hours, I cannot do that. No worries.
