How can I track my submissions?

I have a specific number of people that I need to take a survey.  They are all aware that they are responsible for participation.  The survey is supposed to be confidential.  Is there a way to track who has taken the survey without knowing how they chose to respond?

You could setup a separate email notification that only contains the users name.  Just setup a new email notification:

Then strip out all the extra data from the questions and answers.  Then make sure that this field is not included in your submission or in any of your other notifications.  This will notify you with when and who has filled out the form, but will not contain any of their answers.

I am following all of the steps but for some reason my choices for the sender info is strange.  I can only choose questions in my survey as potential sender information. I've included a link:

I am pretty sure I am following the instructions to the letter. But for some reason the only information I get in the email notification is my own email address as the sender and recipient.  I've emailed the link to other people in my office to do a test run and when they submit the survey, my email continues to pop up.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

The first thing you would need is a field in your form to collect the users name.  I could not find one so I was unable to add that as a field in the email notification as you stated.  Here is how you would setup your notifications:

Since the notifications would be sent in pairs, there is not really much anonymity though.  You could have these notifications sent to different email address'.  The one that captures the users name to one email and the one that captures the data to another.  So you would have a different address in each notification where is says "david@jotform.com" in my examples.
