Is there any reason why this would be occurring and is there a fix that you can provide me.

There are two things to consider here one is there's something wrong with our mail server that is why you are experiencing delays and two is your email provider is the one that is having problem receiving an email from our domain.
If our logs shows that the email was successfully sent this specific time then the email was already sent out that time. If the recipient doesn't receive that mail then there are few things to look at like if server is full that is why it is not allowing incoming mails. You have to contact your email provider about this.
You can provide information to your mail provider by checking your mail history under your account.
