Why is my google spreadsheet being recreated with every submission?

I have Google spreadsheet integration set up. My spreadsheet has multiple tabs and when a new submission comes in, a script runs and sends it to a specific tab. This was working fine for over a year, but beginning today whenever there is a new submission it recreates the spreadsheet and I lose all my tabs. Any idea why this is happening?

    Hi,

I have cleared your jotform cache and hopefully this will help with the integration.

In case it does not, do let us know so that we can notify our developers of this.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Thanks. That seems to have fixed it. Before, I noticed if I just had a tab called Submissions it would still work, but without that tab it would try to recreate everything. Do you expect this to happen again for any reason? A few months back it did something similar but actually switched to a whole new document.

    Hi,

You are welcome. I am glad that it worked for you.

Now yes, it might happen again, but it should not. The reason why it did was the cache since clearing it helped. The cache is a system that makes it all go faster, but after some time it might get corrupted. Unfortunately this is not something that happens with time, but could be a small, but significant (to integration) change on Google's side, or something happens while the communication is being established, etc.

In case you see something being off with it and want to clear the cache yourself you could take a look at this guide and you will see how to do that: Clear form cache.

Do let us know however if you happen to have any further issues and we will be happy to assist.

    Best Regards,
    Ben
