should there be a email address field on the form for the 'save and submit later' functionality to work?

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can use the Save and Continue Later feature even without an email field. If the form filler is not logged in to their Jotform account, or a Guest, the system will offer the session's URL, and an option to input an email address if the respondent prefers to receive the session URL via email instead. If the form filler is logged in on their Jotform account, the session will appear as a draft on the account owner's dashboard. Prior to that, the system will still offer the option to get the session's URL and will pull the email address from the account's registered email.
