My Form and what is downloaded after submission don't match on the PDF file

    Hi,

I have updated two forms, CARRYWELL Grant Application and CARRYWELL Board Expectations, and when they use the link it is the correct form, however, when I go to download the form after submission it is all messed up. It uses some of the new form and some of the old form. It has our prior name in there randomly along with old dates, etc.

I am willing to hop on a call to show you the difference, which I believe will be the best option to explain accurately and correct timely.

    Thank you,

    Mallory

    Hi Mallory,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Thanks for using Jotform. Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer live phone support. If you have any questions, just reply to this thread, or you can create a forum thread from the Contact Us page. We’ll be happy to help.

Can you elaborate on the issue you're having? Is the submission downloaded as a PDF document? I checked your PDF documents but didn't see the mismatch you were talking about. Could you give us an example that doesn't match the Form and the document? It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

As soon as we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.

So there are many places where it is not the same, but here are two examples so you can see that the application that is currently set up is different than what we receive after the submission.

The process I use to retrieve the submissions is:

    1. Go to the form on My Forms
    2. Click "More" select "Submissions"
    3. Select the submission I want to view, and click "Download - PDF"
    4. When I open it it is the old form but has the current applications information but at the same time missing information and has our old name. Our name is CARRYWELL, formerly Blessed Brokenness.

This is the current and correct application that is on our website for the applicants to complete: here is the link for your review as well. https://cdn.jotfor.ms/91896304723160

The differences to notate from the first two screen shots and the last two:

    1. Fertility Grant is correct, Fertility Scholarship is old
    2. Dates and verbiage in the text is incorrect
    3. Current Medical History - the first one does not show the new question about testosterone. The last screen shot shows the question which is on the current application.
    4. There are several other areas in our disclaimers that show Blessed Brokenness and not CARRYWELL.

    Hi Mallory,

It seems the updates you made on the form didn't reflect immediately on the PDF document which is why it's showing the old form elements. Try creating a new PDF Document and then delete the old one. You can refer to the steps below on how you can do this:

    1. Go to PDF Editor. If you're on your My Forms page, click More and then Open PDF Editor

    2. Once you're on the PDF Editor page, click + New PDF and then select the New PDF Document option

The new PDF document will automatically add the updated fields from your form. Once you have created a new PDF document, check if all the displayed fields are the same as the ones in your form. If they are, you can then delete the old PDF document or when you download the PDF from the submissions table, just select the new PDF you created.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi, the above worked on a individual basis however, I am needed to modify the application and want to make sure moving forward I don't have to create a new pdf doc for each submission. How can we fix this so it shows the correct information on the download as it does on the actual jotform? Thank you!

    Hi Mallory,

Thanks for getting back to us. You don't need to create a PDF for every submission. You can browse all the submissions on the newly created PDF as you can see in the Green arrow. Also, you can download individual or all PDFs for all 80 submissions as shown in the Red arrow:

Give it a try and let us know if you are looking for something else.
