Does the amount of items purchased change the submission count?

So if John Smith registers and decides he wants to bring the wife and two kids, he fills out all the required form information, he is ready to pay and hits submit and is redirected to PayPal where he enters his cc info to pay for 4 tickets and hits submit....would that equate to 1 SSL submission????

No, the amount of items you are planning on selling through your payment integration does not affect the submission count in any way.
