I know the payment is based on amount of submissions, but I'm curious how many actual forms I can have running at a time.

    From our FAQ page:

    1. Unlike similar services, JotForm does not cripple features on free version. All features are available to free accounts. You can create as many forms with as many fields as you wish. You can use all field types and use features like auto-responder.

In other words, there is no limit to how many forms you may have, even as a free account. There is, however, a sort of a practical limit inside forms where the more fields, conditions and calculations that you add to the form, the slower it becomes in practice. But we do not limit it in any way, this happens regardless of the pricing plan, as it is a reasonable technical occurrence that the more fields there are to process, the slower any form will become.

I hope that this clarifies your inquiry, but please let us know if you need further information regarding this, or kindly open a new thread for any other questions you may have about your forms. We will be happy to help.
