If I have required fields on my form, why did I just receive a blank submission?

    Hello,

We just received a blank form submission and there are fields that are required before users can submit it. How can this be? I've attached a screenshot. No data is shown.

    Hi,

Since your form is embedded using the regular script method, it is subject to conflicts with other scripts running in your page.  This can sometimes cause validation issues that allow users to bypass validation.

Embedding your form using the iFrame embed method:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code

This will insulate your form from the rest of the page and should allow the validation to work properly.

If you still receive empty submissions after using the iFrame embed, let us know and we will be happy to take another look.

Thanks for your reply. Will using the iFrame embed method conflict with our conversion tracking for Adwords/Analytics? Can we still have a unique URL like /sign_up? Also, is there a possibility to get a unique URL for the 'thank-you' page after submission?

    I appreciate your help.

The iFrame method may interfere with Adwords and Analtytics since it is loaded into its own frame.  Tracking and such would not be able to access or escape the frame.  You can still have a unique URL to your page, that does not make any difference.

As for the unique URL for the thank you page, you can customize this in the form builder:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/211-Setting-Up-the-Thank-You-Page

This way you could embed the tracking code into your custom thank you page and retain your Adwords and Analytics.

We also offer built in analytics:
