Customize PDF: Allow to copy fields and labelsAsked by abalouch on July 22, 2016 at 01:08 PM
I would like to copy one of the fields (for example the name) into each of the pages of the pdf report, without having to make the customer fill their name on every page. is there a way to copy and paste within the pdf report?
This is a re-post of a comment on How to Customize PDF Submissions Report
Unfortunately, it is not possible to copy fields or labels in the PDF submission report. You could just create new field in your actual form using the form builder and use conditional logic to pass the data.
Here's a specific guide on how to copy fields form another one: https://www.jotform.com/help/286-How-to-Populate-Field-with-a-Value-from-Another-Field
The target fields that will receive the copied data can be set to hidden or on a separate page that is inaccessible, that will allow you to only use those fields in the PDF report.
I will, however, forward this to our developers as a feature request as I see the need to freely copy and use form fields in the "Customize PDF" feature. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that this will be implemented anytime soon. Apologies.
This has now been implemented. You can now add fields to the customized PDF. This will allow you to add new fields to the already customized pdf so you can add a name field to every page.
Please let us know if you have any issues.
