I would like to post a counter to determine the number of people needed for certain jobs on a volunteer sign-up form.

If I need 10 people to serve dinner and 5 people to bus tables, is it possible to display how many more people are needed?

    Hello StaWeb,

The only solution I could think of for this is to create a separate form, one for 10 people to serve dinner, and then another form for 5 people to bus tables.

And then you can limit the number of submissions your form can receive by enabling the submissions limit by the number of submissions. You can read on this user guide in order to understand this option: https://www.jotform.com/help/137-How-to-limit-submissions-in-a-form

Next, you can add the submissions counter widget to your form to show the number of spots filled or number of spots available

If you have further questions, please let us know.

    Hi StaWeb.

Let me offer an alternative solution.

The Ticket Purchases widget was used to create this simple demo (number of volunteers is recalculated once the form data is submitted and the form is refreshed).

The needed number of servers or bussers can be seen immediately once the form loads. This demo only allows 1 option (server or busser) to be chosen per transaction or person.

    Hope this helps.
