Pricing and Usage Question

Hello Jotform. I love your product/service! I am working on a non-profit school levy committee and we are using your form to collect voter information. We don't anticipate getting over 100 submissions per month so I think we are okay with your basic free package...but...does that mean 100 NEW submissions each month on top of the already collected names or is that a total of submissions that you can have in your database each month.

For example. We had close to 100 in August that are sitting in the database. If we get lets say, 40 total new submissions in September and surpass 100 in our total database...does that mean we need to go to the upgrade plan?

    Please advise.

Thank you so much for your time!

Hello Margie, thanks for the warm remarks, we love our users too! To quickly answer the example you have given:

For example. We had close to 100 in August that are sitting in the database. If we get lets say, 40 total new submissions in September and surpass 100 in our total database...does that mean we need to go to the upgrade plan?

No you won't need to upgrade if that's the case. The monthly limit is 100 and since you only had close to 100 on Aug then 40 on Sep in your example, you haven't reached the limit yet :)

There is a separate monthly submission limit and a total submission storage for the free plan:

    1. Monthly limit = 100 submissions per month

When you reach this limit, your forms will be disabled. You will then have 2 options to choose from - Either wait for the 1st day of the next month to replenish your new 100 monthly limit or upgrade to any of our paid plans.

    2. Total Submission Storage limit = 500 all time

For the total however, once you reach more than 500, old submissions will be automatically deleted and you'll only get to store the most recent 500. Worry not because you can always download your submissions anytime you want to, to avoid losing data.

On the bright side, since you mentioned that you're working for a non-profit school levy committee, perhaps you might be interested in applying for a nonprofit discount instead. This offers 50% off on all plans so if you want to apply for one, just do the following:

    1. Go to this page https://www.jotform.com/nonprofit/pricing/

    2. Ensure you will fill in the form at the bottom of that page, upload a copy of your organization's 990 form, and submit your application.

    3. Once submitted, it will be reviewed by our team and upon approval, you'll get instructions on how to avail the discount.

IMO, since you're not hitting your monthly limit anytime soon, the free plan should suffice for now. The only time you would need to upgrade is when you hit the monthly cap and when that time comes, it's good to know that as a nonprofit, you have a cheaper option to consider :)
