We tried this, but are still only receiving the email body, no PDF. Here's one of our forms: https://form.jotform.com/233243714767157

    Thank you!

    Hello Adam,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I’m sorry you're having difficulties with this. I checked your form and found that you didn't enable the "Attach PDF" option in both Notification/Autoresponder emails.

    Autoresponder email :

    Notification email :

Submission PDF is not getting attached in the email Screenshot 41

I believe after enabling the "Attach PDF" option you didn't click on the Save button, that might be the reason these option didn't get enabled, and you are not receiving PDF's in your mail. Please go ahead and enable this option and click on the save button to save the changes you made in your emails.

As a precautionary measure, I have also cleared your account cache from the backend, which resolves cache related issues. Can you go ahead and try it again and let us know how it goes? If the same thing happens again, we'll investigate it more to see if we can figure out what's going on.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for getting back to us. We're sorry you're still having issues with the PDF attachments. I've checked your form and noticed that the "Attach PDF" option is not enabled yet, as you can see below:

This is happening both in the notification and autoresponder email. Please enable the option and don't forget to Save your changes just as my colleague Ravi previously explained.

Additionally, I noticed your default email notifications have more than 65k characters, so you'll need to delete some of the characters before you can make changes and save them. Any content that is longer than the limit will be truncated. To keep your email within the limits, you'll need to use shorter email alerts that only contain the fields you wish to receive/send through email. Deleting fields is simple. Let me show you how:

    • In Form Builder, and in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    • On the Emails tab, select the fields you wish to remove and delete them.

After this, you'll be able to Enable the PDF attachment and Save your changes.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help

I have turned it on and saved it several times. As for the numbers, I will look into that.

Is there any reason the PDF would turn off each time we turn it on and save it?

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for getting back to us. I've cloned and tested the form and was able to replicate the issue. It seems that when you enable the Attach PDF option, it is not saving because you've reached the character limit in your Notification email. See the screenshot below:

You need to update the character limit first before you can enable the Attach PDF option and Save it. Please reduce the characters in your email content so you can save the changes.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Okay, so our other form does not have the character limit issue and still no PDF. Any other reason, as the email settings do confirm we want to receive PDF copies.

    Hello again Adam,

I cloned and tested form 233244059914154 but couldn't replicate the issue. I successfully received the PDF in the notification email. Check out my results in the screencast below:

I noticed you sent test emails from the form but keep in mind that PDF attachments are not included with those test emails. Instead, you can fill out your form and send an actual submission. If the issue persists, we need your permission to run a test submission directly to your form and add our email to confirm if we're not able to receive the PDF attachment as well.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
