    Hi

First of all, I must probably apologize since this question is being asked so many times.

I have been spending 1.5 hour on it but can not get it done.

In the forum you explained that's it's possible, for more information it said, click on " import submissions"  but if I click on this is says, whoops, temporary not available etc.

I'm trying to import an excel file which I want to fill in every day by internet without sending it but I can't figure out wha't's the best and easiest way yet

Thanks for your time and have a nice day!!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to import an Excel file into a form. What you could do is to use the Spreadsheet widget: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/spreadsheet

    HI David
I managed with the spreadsheet. Thanks.
    But another question
My aim was to create a file to fill in my daily km and to calculate them per week/months etc
The calculation works but what I would like to do is to fill it in online and continue the next day and the day after etc.
    this way it's always online
I used to fill in an excel file at home but sometimes I did not safe the file etc and all my data were lost
I know there is the option "continue later with form" but even by selecting this its not always saving the data.
I have read something about creating a second form. Would this be necessary in this case as well since I'm not sending them?
Also there was mentioned the button back and next. So far I did not add a button to safe the data, I guess this will help too.
I don't know if the spreadsheet is this best option for my idea since uploading is sometimes taking a while
For now I created a spreadsheet with 5 columns and 500 rows but I'm also afraid that if I work on it at the background my data which I filled it might get lost
    Could you inform me?
    Many thanks!!!
    Regards
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

I think using the submission data report can accomplish already what you need.

    How-To-Create-Form-Reports-in-JotForm

You can actually publish the reports online as well i.e. Excel, spreadsheet, or HTML table reports.

Please let us know if this option will still not work.

    Thanks.

What is the form you are working with? How are you planning to fill this Excel File? I guess what you are trying to accomplish is meant to be used with a different app.  I would recommend you to use Office Online: https://products.office.com/en/office-online/documents-spreadsheets-presentations-office-online, or Google Spreadsheet: https://www.google.com/sheets/about/

    HI
I managed with the Google spreadsheet. Thanks for the link.
I'm still curious though. Is the jotform spreadsheet working like the Google online spreadsheet?
By jotform I could find the button to upload my excel calculation but I guess I did something wrong
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help and patience.

No, the Spreadsheet widget is not the same as the Google Spreadsheet application, since the Spreadsheet widget is meant to be used once per submission, not to create, update and modify spreadsheets and share the data live online like Google Spreadsheet does.

Glad to know that worked well for you. Open a new thread if you need anything else, we will be glad to assist you.
