How TikTok influencer Chris Guerra connects with followers through Jotform

Jotform is used by businesses across the globe in almost every major industry, and we’ve been delighted to feature a wide variety of user spotlights over the years.

But this month’s showcase is a little different from any others we’ve done, and perhaps somewhat surprising. After all, who would come across a wig-wearing viral comedy influencer on TikTok and think “online forms”?

Well, this isn’t the first norm that L.A.-based actor and comedian Chris Guerra has broken, and it won’t be the last.

With 700,000+ followers and counting, Chris’s TikTok account has racked up tens of millions of views for his viral comedic impersonations of “nightmares.” These are what he dubs interactions from online platforms like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist that users have submitted funny stories about. Chris satirically recreates these nightmares on his channel (often with the liberal use of wigs).

If you aren’t familiar with Chris’s TikToks, it may be simpler to watch for yourself:

Chris uses Jotform to collect real-life user submissions for the “nightmares” that inspire his video ideas. He often receives hundreds of submissions per week, which he scans through easily on his phone using Jotform Mobile Forms.

The form he’s set up allows users to describe their nightmare, the online platform where it occurred, and upload photos along with their submission to provide additional context about the interaction. Chris then picks a lucky few to reenact, complete with his own comedic twist.

Jotform enables Chris to keep up with the popularity of his channel and the ever increasing number of nightmare submissions from fans. He tried other ways of collecting submissions in the past, such as Instagram, but settled on Jotform for its ease of use and mobile-friendly features.

“I needed a system where someone could submit their nightmare to me, and I could look at it on my phone from anywhere,” says Chris. “It sounds like a simple thing, but Jotform does it right…. It’s made what would [otherwise] take probably an hour only take minutes.”

Chris’s journey as a TikTok influencer is only getting started, and Jotform’s seamless data collection and accessibility are fueling his growth. For these reasons, he recommends Jotform as a solution for other influencers looking for a simple submission process.

“A lot of influencers are looking for ways for their followers to submit to them,” Chris says. “I would recommend Jotform because it’s just an easy-to-use form system. I’ve never had any problem with it. The submissions in the [Jotform Mobile Forms] app are so easy to view.”
