With Jotform’s Canadian Provinces Picker widget, you can easily add a ready-made dropdown of all provinces and territories so users can quickly select their location without manual input. This helps standardize responses and ensures you collect consistent and accurate geographic data across your forms.
Here are a few ways to use it:
- Let users select their province or territory in address or registration forms.
- Prevent invalid or misspelled province entries.
- Simplify your form by removing manual dropdown setup.
- Ensure consistent geographic data for Canadian users.
- Speed up form completion with a reliable dropdown.
Whether you’re creating a new form or updating an existing one, you can add and set up the Canadian Provinces Picker in a few easy steps. Here’s how to do it:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- Now, in the Form Elements menu, under the Widgets tab, search for Canadian Provinces Picker and click on it. Or, just drag and drop it to where you want it to be on your form.
- Next, in the Widget Settings window that opens on the right side of the page, under the General tab, set up these things:
- Blank Option as Default — Check this box to display a blank option at the top of the dropdown, encouraging users to make a selection.
- Default State — Preselect a province if you want a default choice for users.
- Abbreviate — Choose whether to display province abbreviations instead of full names.
- When your settings are ready, click on Update.
That’s it. Now you’ve added and set up the Canadian Provinces Picker widget on your form.
You can test it on this demo form.
