Jotform’s Disqus widget helps you add a comment section to your form where users can leave feedback, share suggestions, and reply to others. This gives you a simple way to collect more open and detailed responses alongside your form submissions.
Here are a few ways to use it:
- Collect comments and suggestions directly from users.
- Let users reply and interact through threaded discussions.
- Capture more detailed feedback beyond standard fields.
- Keep conversations organized within your form.
Things to Have Ready
You’ll need your Disqus Shortname to set up the Disqus widget. If you’re not sure how or where to get these, check out these support articles from Disqus on What is a Shortname to learn more.
Whether you’re creating a new form or updating an existing one, you can add and set up the Disqus Widget in a few easy steps. Here’s how to do it:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- Now, in the Form Elements menu, under the Widgets tab, search for Disqus and click on it. Or, just drag and drop it to where you want it to be on your form.
- Next, in the Widget Settings window that opens on the right side of the page, enter your Shortname URL in the Shortname Input box.
- Once everything’s set, click on Update.
That’s it. You’ve successfully added and set up the Disqus widget on your form. Wondering how it looks in action? Check out this demo form.
Note
- For advanced styling of the Disqus widget, you can add your own custom CSS code under the Custom CSS tab in the Widget Settings. Our guide on How to Inject CSS Codes to Widgets walks you through everything.
