With Jotform, you can easily help users find and enter their location with the Postal Code Search widget. It offers a quick, user-friendly way for people to look up their area just by typing a postal code — making it easier for you to collect accurate address information without any manual back-and-forth.

Whether you’re building a new form or editing an existing one, you can add and configure the Postal Code Search widget in just a few steps. This is how it’s done:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- Now, in the Form Elements menu, under the Widgets tab, search for Postal Code Search and click on it. Or, just drag and drop it to where you want it to be on your form.
- Next, in the Widget Settings menu that opens on the right side of the page, under the General tab, you’ll see this list of settings you can configure:
- Country Filter — Select a country in the dropdown menu to make it the only option in the Country Selector field, or keep All selected so every country is available.
- Country Label — Delete the default text in the input box and enter a custom label for the Country Selector field.
- Code Label — Delete the default text in the input box and enter a custom label for the Code Selector field.
- Then, scroll down to the bottom and continue to set up these settings:
- City Label — Delete the default text in the input box and enter a custom label for the City Selector field.
- City List Label — Delete the default text in the input box and enter a custom label for the City List Button.
- Once everything’s set, click on Update.
That’s it. You’ve successfully added and set up the Postal Code Search widget on your form. You can test it on this demo form.
