With Jotform, you can easily add structured location selection to your forms without the hassle of building or maintaining long city lists. The Cities of China widget provides a smart two-level dropdown where users first choose a province, then select a city within that province—all from a complete, preloaded list of Chinese locations. This setup keeps your forms organized while making it much easier for users to find and select their city.
Because the widget automatically filters cities based on the selected province, it creates a smooth and intuitive experience for respondents while helping you collect consistent, well-structured location information. Whether you’re creating registration forms, service requests, applications, or any form that requires regional details in China, this widget makes location selection simple, accurate, and user-friendly.
Here are a few ways to use it:
- Let your users select their province first and then choose a matching city when completing Chinese registration, sign-up, or application forms.
- Collect accurate province and city information from respondents in surveys, contact forms, or feedback forms.
- Keep entries limited to valid Chinese provinces and cities to avoid spelling errors or mismatched locations.
- Help users complete forms faster with a clear, two-step dropdown that automatically filters cities by province.
- Easily organize and review submissions with consistent location data across all form responses.
- Guide users smoothly through longer forms with a structured way to select their location in China.
- Improve the overall form experience by removing manual city typing and simplifying location selection.
- Give your respondents a cleaner, more professional way to provide their province and city details.
Whether you’re creating a new form or updating an existing one, you can add the Cities of China widget in a few easy steps. Here’s how to do it:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- Now, in the Form Elements menu, under the Widgets tab, search for Cities of China and click on it. Or, just drag and drop it to where you want it to be on your form.
That’s it. You’ve successfully added the Cities of China widget to your form.
