How to Add the CKEditor Widget to Your Form

February 1, 2026

With Jotform, you can easily add rich-text editing to your forms using the CKEditor widget — giving your users a clean, familiar space to format their responses. CKEditor is a powerful HTML text editor designed to make writing online feel smooth and intuitive, so your form fillers can style their text, add emphasis, and share more detailed input without any hassle. Whether you’re collecting long-form answers, project details, or content that needs a bit more structure, this widget helps keep everything clear, polished, and easy to manage.

Here are a few ways to use it:

  • Add a rich-text editor to your form for more polished responses
  • Let users format longer answers with headings, lists, and emphasis
  • Collect detailed inputs that need structure or clarity
  • Give respondents more control over how they present their content

Whether you’re creating a new form or updating an existing one, you can add the CKEditor widget in a few easy steps. Here’s how to do it:

  1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
