I had someone fill out my form once, and it's been replicated about 45 times, meaning a new email to her each time and massive confusion for me in record-keeping. Any way you can clear up this glitch? It has me afraid to direct people to my form!

Can you please provide us ID of your form. I have checked and it seems that you have deleted all of your submissions. If you form is embedded, please provide us URL of your webpage.
Without testing your form I can not tell you what could cause mentioned issue. Maybe your user was resubmitting the form or they were clicking on back browser button and that was cause of the issue.
To can add CAPTCHA field to your form to prevent spammers and spambots.
To prevent duplicates submissions you can use our unique submission feature or unique question feature.

That's another problem... I tried to delete "selected" submissions and
despite clicking certain ones and clicking "delete selected", all of
them were deleted!

Thank you for providing the form ID. Since there are no submissions for the form at the moment, we are not able to continue investigating the duplicate entries issue further.
I see that there is another thread opened for the deleted submissions. We'll address the issue on the other thread shortly. Please follow the link below:
