Square Integration: Automation when canceling the order?

    In our case, this workaround does not work for when someone wants to CANCEL a reservation, rather than change information.

    Background: we process between 50-100 event registrations a month. Folks can pay online (Square) or pay at site, which unfortunately defaults to read "free" on the form. We also have a strict cancellation policy.

    We've been repeatedly asked for the ability to cancel a reservation. (Right now, attendees must send an email request, and we do it back of house, then notify them of the cancellation and refund from Square.

    Can this process be more automatied?

    Hi Mel Laytner,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To implement this, you can disable editing of the form and let user inform to send an email if they want cancellation. Once you receive the user email for cancellation, then you can edit the submissions made on form manually from the submission table.

    Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Thank you for your suggestion but that's more or less what we're already doing: user sends an email, we delete the submission; delete the line on the Google Sheet, go into square and issue the refund. Was hoping to automate at least part of this process. Alas...

    Hi Mel Laytner,

    Thanks for patiently waiting. Unfortunately, the option you are looking for is not possible with Jotform. You can only issue refunds via your Stripe account, as that option is not available within your form and your Jotform account.
