Hello, I wanted to know the max upload size bc some people are able to upload and some aren't. Also it seems to reject the whole form if file is too big and then client is crabby.
Also, another source of crabbiness...the form does not save, right? So if they let it sit too long or lose internet they lose their work? Is there a way to save as they go?

The max file upload size limit is 1048576 KB which is the same as 1 GB. Here's a guide how to change it:
Open your form and select the File Upload field. Click the Properties button (Cogwheel Icon). Go to the Options tab and under the Limit File Size you can change the maximum file size limit.
Here's a guide: Changing-the-File-Upload-Size-Limit
Hope that helps. If you have questions, please let us know.
