Are you referring to a file that was uploaded through your encrypted form? Please note that uploaded files are left as they are - meaning that any file that gets submitted on your form (photo, document, etc) is left unchanged.

Well, I just spoke to him and what he uploaded was a pdf file, what I got was a .msg file.

Are you trying to view the email received from any email client program? The .msg format indicates an email message format that can be viewed the message using the specific email client such as MS Outlook, etc. Could you try checking the submission by logging to your email account using a browser or from the JotForm submissions view?

If you are still experiencing any issue with viewing the submission, please provide us with the screenshot of the issue to take a look and provide you with further assistance.
