    Hi,

I would like to do the following but unsure how to start even after googling.

    The workflow would be:

    (1) After stating the dates (eg. 1 mar, 2 mar , 3 mar) and email for items' reservation in form A (ie. refer to my current form)

    (2) I would like to trigger auto-sending out of email to the user to fill up a feedback form (another form i yet to create) to tell us how they feel and their experiences of using our product on 4th mar.

    (3) If user clicks on this link, they can fill up their feedback and submit. It would be good if their names will be auto-populated when they click on the link through their email.

    (4) Admin on the backend will be able to track the results of the form and make some analysis.

    Thanks

    Hi Jasline,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It's possible to send the Autoresponder email at a later date along with the link to the feedback form. Here are the steps:

    1. Since you're using the Date Reservation widget, you have to pass its value to the Date Picker field (Copy of Date Reservation for GoPro Stabilizer). Let me show you how:

    • On the Form Builder page, click on the Add Form Elements at the upper left.
    • On the Form Elements, click on the Date Picker to add, and then edit the field label.

    • To pass the value from the widget to the Date Picker field, go to the Settings at the top navigation bar.
    • Open the Conditions tab on the left and select Update/Calculate Field condition.

    • Add the condition that if the widget is filled out, it will copy its value to the Date Picker.

    2. Then using the Update/Calculate field condition, get the value from this Date Picker field, add 1 day to it, and then save the result to another Date Picker field (date to send Email). Let me show you how:

    • Add another Update/Calculate Field condition.
    • Click on the Add Field button and select the first Date Picker that was added previously.
    • Using the keys on the right, add the Plus operation and then the value "1".
    • In the Summary section, select the 2nd Date Picker. How to send email on a later date Image 4 Screenshot 103

    3. In the Autoresponder Email, there's an option to send it at a later date. You can either select the number of days, a certain date, or a value of a Date Picker field. It's easy, let's do it:

    • On the Settings, open the Email tab on the left.
    • Select Autoresponder to edit.

    • On the Autoresponder settings, go to the Advanced tab.
    • Click on the dropdown menu under the Send Email Later and select the 2nd Date Picker.

    Hi,
Regarding the dates (Copy of Date Reservation for GoPro Stabilizer & date to send Email) I have some queries.

    (1) can i check what is the difference and intention between the 2 dates? I would thought that stating the date to send email would be sufficient.

    (2) If user would to borrow the tools for 2-3 mar, what date should user put under Copy of Date Reservation for GoPro Stabilizer ?

    (3) Will this method work i create these 2 fields but i hide it as I don't want user to fill it and to them would seem like it is auto trigger based on their last day of borrowing the tools. Then, in the backend under <Submissions> we add in the dates to trigger the auto sending of email. I am not sure if this works as it seems like I can't edit dates in the <Submissions> other than changing the dropdown options.

    Hi Jasline,

Thanks for getting back to us. Keep in mind that according to my colleague's conditional logic, the date to send Email is one day after the Copy of Date Reservation for GoPro Stabilizer. You can hide all conditional logic fields because they work automatically. You can review my colleague's form, which he mistakenly forgot to attach.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I realized that the field 38 is automatically filled when user clicks on first of any date(s) in the calendar field. (Eg. [Scenario 1] if user first clicks on 19 apr then 20 and 21 apr, then field 38 = 19 apr. [Scenario 2] if user clicks on 21 apr first then 19 and 20 apr, field 38 - 21 apr.)

And since I would want a second form email to be autosent to user based on 1 day after the last date of borrowing (eg. 22 apr), Can I as an admin, based on viewing all 3 dates, change the value of field 38 in [Scenario 1] from 19 apr to 21 apr such that it will trigger the second form to be autosent on a different day? If yes, how do I go about doing so?

    Hi Jasline,

Thanks for getting back to us. Can you please provide more details of your requirement? Do you mean you want to edit the submission of the date field, then trigger an autoresponder email?

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
