Can the verified email be any email type like: Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, etc

Jotform Email Sender: a client receives an email, we received the filled in form, it now says noreply@jotform.com or noreply@formresponse.com. Can you fill in any type of email in the verified email bar, Like Hotmail, Outlook, Gmail? I mean can I just fill in my own Outlook email address and then they will receive a confirmation Email from my Email address or does it needs to be a SMTP-Server Email?

As set forth in this user guide, you can set a verified address as the sender but the emails will still be sent over JotForm's email servers like: 

You're advised to use SMTP in order to set your own email as the sender without reference to JotForm at the sender field. Please refer to this guide where you can find necessary information and instructions you'll need.
