Hi,
I'm trying to pass data from one form to the next. I will not pass the dropdown menu selection. What is the URL parameter I should use to do this?
Thanks

Hi cbmpcrestedbutte,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Jotform Form’s Prefill allows you to prepopulate your form fields with data from another form in your account. You can Prefill Form Fields With Data From Another Form With Form Prefill. Can you provide the URL or link to the forms? This is for us to check and walk you through.
As soon as we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.

Hi Jerlan,
Thanks for your reply. I looked at the PDF and it makes. Here is the link to the form. https://www.jotform.com/build/240640932754053
I don't think the prefill option will complete solve my issue as I'm trying to build an automated work flow. We are a Real Estate Company and we want to send an Agent an onboarding questionnaire and have their replies populate onto the PDF and a second Jotform go to the Admin who will fill out the remaining questions. The two forms will populate the PDF and that will be emailed to HR.
I searched the knowledgebase and found the solution. I was not adding {...} brackets to pull dropdown input "Form 1". I was putting input from Form 2 first in the URL. I have it correct now. I add "Form 2" to the top of the URL and when the Admin gets the form it does fill out with Form 1 data (including dropdown selections).
Do you know how I can add a "third leg" to this workflow? For example, I want to add a Form 3 to have another team member add their info to keep building out the PDF that it's all mapping to.
Thanks for your help.

Hi cbmpcrestedbutte,
Thanks for getting back to us. Great to hear that you have figured the URL parameters. For the "third leg" you can use Get page URL widget and Edit link. Let me walk you through it:
- In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
- Add new elements for the other member, select the elements, press right click on mouse and click on Hide.
- Click on Add Form Element menu again, and add Get Form page URL widget to your form.
- In the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
- In the menu that opens on the left side of the page, click on Condition.
- Select Show/Hide field, and set a condition as shown below:
- In the menu located on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
- Click on Add Email, select Autoresponder, and add edit link to the content of email.
Here is how it will work:
Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you for your detailed walkthrough.
I have one more question about passing data from one form to another. I've added a photo widget to Form 1. Is there a way to pass the photo in the URL? I tried it, and while the photo appeared in the Autoresponder email, it didn't show up on Form 2. I used a similar photo widget in Form 2, but does it need to be set up to accept a URL?
Thanks again for your assistance.

Hi cbmpcrestedbutte,
It is not possible to pass the photo from Form 1 to Form 2. Passing values via URL parameter is only limited to text values also, URL parameters does not work for widgets since widgets are isolated due to iframe HTML code.
