Loom Video Embed Widget keeps returning 'Cannot connect to Loom. Please try again later' error

    Hi, When I add the public app ID code to my widget and "update widget" and then send the form to myself for checking, it comes up with an error "Cannot connect to Loom - Please try again later" Last week the videos were able to be recorded but only for 2 of the 15 questions. Today, non of the questions are working. Am I doing something wrong? or is there something not working with Loom? I have a free loom account at the moment.

    Hi LigamentNZ,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I checked your account, but it seems that you're currently logged into Jotform as a Guest user. If you already have a standard account (Starter, Bronze, Silver, or Gold), can you log into your Jotform account? If you're referring to a form you're working on, can you share the URL of the form you're referring to?

    Also, can you explain a bit more about the issue you're having so that I can have a better idea of what's going on and help you with a solution? It will also be helpful if you can take a screenshot of what's happening and share it with our Support Forum. This guide will show you how to do that.

    After we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with this.

    When I test the form and try to fill it out and use the loom recorder, I get an error that says "Cannot connect to Loom - Please try again later"

    I have a silver membership. Do you mean my Jotform account is logged in as a guest? or loom is logged into as a guest? I think the loom log in is different to the Jotform log in. Should they be the same?


    Does a person have to be a member of Loom to record onto a Jotform?

    Hi LigamentNZ, 

    Thanks for getting back to us. The Loom Video Recorder works only on Chromium-based browsers. Having said that, try to finish the update in your browser, update the widget, then test your form again. If the same issue happens, try to use an incognito browser.

    Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
