Incomplete values error showing when submitting the form.

A form that I've used for YEARS and have not made significant changes to is suddenly acting up. There are several Star rating questions that are required. I notice that as you click through the survey no matter what answer value you click, the next page/question opens as if the selection you made were captured, but upon submission of the survey, most if not all required questions are in the error message as if they'd been skipped.

It's the "iQmetrix OS Questionnaire" on my account

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry this is happening. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

This may have been a temporary issue, so kindly try again. Can you try clearing your form caches to help? Here's how:

    1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse on your Profile Avatar icon.
    2. In the window that opens, click on Settings.

    3. In the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Clear Cache. That's it, you're done.

You can also check this guide for more information about clearing caches.

But can you tell me if the form is embedded on a website? If so, can you share with us the page URL where the form is embedded? If not, can you allow us to make a test submission to your form to check if we can reproduce the same issue? No worries, you can remove our submission right after the test.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

This form is not embedded in a website. Everyone who tried the survey, 10 or so, experienced this.

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting back to us. When I cloned and tested your form, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:

How are they filling out the survey? Is it through a mobile device or a laptop? Would you allow us to test the actual form to see if we can replicate the issue on the original form? No worries, you can remove our submission right after the test.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Filling out via desktop.

I've enabled the form. Do you have what you need to test? All clear on my side to test.

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting back to us. I tested the live form, and I was able to submit it without getting any errors.

Can you have someone from your team do a test submission?  If the same thing happens again, we'll investigate it more to see if we can figure out what's going on.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.

    The problem still persists.

Still getting the incomplete response, even though I click through each question selecting answers to all as I go. Looking back through the survey that should be completed, there are no answers captured. I think there is a persistence problem with answers in the Star Rating question type.

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. This error usually shows up when the fields that are marked as required are not filled out (they are usually skipped via form conditions) after submitting the form. I cloned your form to test the issue; however, I was unable to do so. This may have been a temporary issue so kindly try again. I have also cleared your form's cache as that may be causing it.

If you're still having the same problem, please let us know if it's okay with you if we submit the form a few times ourselves to investigate further. Also, please confirm the make and model of the smartphone and the browser used in submitting the form.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Clearing the cache seems to have resolved the issues of answers not being captured.

There is still odd behavior with the Star rating questions though. If you choose an answer, then go back to verify that it's been collected, the visibility is odd. There used to show one single star highlighted. Now, all stars except the selection the user makes is highlighted?Incomplete values error showing when submitting the form Screenshot 20 Screenshot 10

    Hello Anna,

Thanks for getting back to us. When I tested your form, the same thing happened, so I created a ticket about it and escalated this to our Developers.

Once we hear back from them, we’ll update this thread and let you know.
