    Good afternoon,

I work for Practice BC, we use Jotform for registering students for online tutoring. We were unavailable yesterday for Eid, so we disabled the forms. Then, this morning my coworker re-enabled the forms, and I checked their status to confirm it was marked "Enabled", however several parents informed us that the form was still not active. I just went through and set them "Enabled" a second time and they seem to be working now. It seems like they were marked "Enabled" but were still acting "Disabled".

I'm just wondering if there's something we're doing incorrectly or if this is maybe a bug that we've encountered. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best,

    Jacob Grassi

    Hi Jacob,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry you're having difficulty with this. To further investigate what's happening, can you tell us the steps that you and your co-worker took to enable the form? There are 2 known ways to enable/disable a form. Let me walk you through it:

1st way is in the My Forms page.

    1. In My Forms, click on the form that you'd like to enable/disable.

    2. In the far-right part of the clicked form, click on the drop-down arrow for More options.

    3. Under the Form section, click on Enable/Disable.

    4. You can also click on the More option at the top navigation bar that will appear upon clicking a form.

2nd way is in the form's settings.

    1. In My Forms, click on the form that you'd like to enable/disable. Then, click on the Edit Form option.

    2. In Form Builder, in the top-orange navigation bar, go to Settings.

    3. Under the Form Settings panel, you can Enable or Disable the form via the Form Status section. The only difference this has from the first method is you need to click on Save after choosing what status you'd like to set the form to. Otherwise, the change will not apply.

Hi thanks for getting back to me!

The first method is how we originally tried to enable them. We selected the forms we wanted to re-enable on the MyForms page and then selected Enable from the "More" dropdown at the top of the page. We did this method first because it was easier to enable multiple forms at once rather than going into the settings of each form.

After we did that the "Form Status" on each form indicated "Enabled", but when the form was published and accessed, it still gave the "Disabled" message.

I went back in and Enabled them using the second method (in the individual settings of each form) but since the Form Status already said Enabled I just clicked the Form Status and pressed Save. This worked as expected and the forms are now displaying properly.

We're happy to use the second method moving forward, it's just less convenient when enabling several forms at once.

    Hope this is helpful!
