Request to provide messenger like interface in the inbox of all the forms

Hello,

This is request you that in all the forms when we are assigning the form and are giving edit access to anyone we want that all the person who are having edit access should have authority to comment in the inbox of the forms any time in order to tell the current status of the application and they should not be able to edit the comment or message once done.

Basically we need the messenger like interface in the inbox so that anyone can chat related to that that form to the related person.

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understand your request, this feature already exists. Let me show you how to allow collaborators to comment entries.

1. In the Tables page of a form, click on the Share button in the top-right corner of the page.
2. In the Share This Inbox window, click on Settings.
3. Then, select Private Access. 
4. Scroll down the list and click on Commenter in the Permissions section, and then click on Go Back.
5. Finally, in the Share This Inbox window, you can use the Invite By Email option, or click on Copy Link to share your Inbox page.

I have applied the changes in tables but still not able to get the comments option any where in the inbox after assigning the form to a user

Thanks for getting back to us. If you want to let anyone leave a comment on the tables, just follow my colleague's guide. Now, let me show you how to leave a comment from the tables:

1. In the Jotform Tables, click on the entry that you want to comment. Then click on Add Comment on the upper right side of the page.
2. Enter your message, and click on Comment.
3. Now, to view the comment, just hover your mouse over the Message icon or click the View button of the entry.

But, if you want your colleagues to leave a comment in your Jotform inbox, you will have to share your form inbox with them. Let me walk you through it:

1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over the form and select Inbox from the form options.
2. In the Jotform Inbox, click on Share on the upper right side of the page.
3. Click on the Gear icon to open its Settings and select Collaborator.
4. Click on Go back in the upper right corner of the window.
5. Under Invite By Email, enter the email address of the one you want to add as a collaborator of your inbox. There is no limit on how many collaborators can be added to your inbox.
6. Your added collaborators will receive an email like the screenshot below. And by clicking on Open Inbox, they will be able to view and comment from the inbox.

Now, to add comments:

1. In the Jotform Inbox, click on the Message icon on the upper right side of the page of the page.
2. Enter your comment, and click on Comment at the bottom of the page.
