How to send an email to the user after I filled out the form?

I created a form for myself to fill out after a treatment session to send the completed form to the customer. So far, I have not figured out how I can fill out the form myself to send it then to the customer.

So when you fill out the form, make sure to add the customer's email address to the email field so that they will receive the form's autoresponder email. Thank you for your answer. I don't want the customer to fill out the form. I, as a therapist, want to fill out the form after my session and send it to the customer for their information (a report of the findings and the therapy a horse received). Does this make sense?

You fill out the form and add the customer's email address to the email filled in so that they will receive an email after you complete the form. I figured that I can use 'prefill' to write my report and send it to the customer. The customer doesn't have to do anything once they received the report.

Is there any way how I can collect the data from the prefilled sent form as there is no submission?

Thanks for reaching back to Jotform Support. Please know Prefill feature is most used if the data has been collected or manually fill some fields but not the entire form. If what you are want to do is you will fill out the form and share it to the customer. Then the best option is to complete, submit the form and use Autoresponder Email to share the data you have put in the form. Let me show you how to set that up:

1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
3. Now, click on Add an Email.
4. Then, select Autoresponder Email.
5. Customize the options the way you want them, and you’re done.

My apologies, but I don't get it. Without going into Prefill, I can't figure out how to fill out the created form by myself. I look through the guide and videos without any new understanding. I like the way everything looks like but the usability for my purpose seems very difficult and frustrating.

If what you're looking to do is to fill out your own form, and email the customer after you submitted the form, then you can use the method that my colleagues provided above. Just click on this link, which is your form's link, and fill out the form. For the Email field, make sure to enter your customer's email address.

So, here's what will happen. You fill out the form, and submit it:

After you submitted the form, the customer will receive an email. Take a look to see how the email that they'll get would look like:

As for the Prefill features, this is only applicable if you're looking into passing data from another form to this form.
