Mobile devices: Skip Payment

Asked on April 26, 2024 at 4:58 PM

    Greetings.

Payment option is allowing to be skipped for my form when someone registers using a mobile device browser. And, working fine from a laptop.

Please advise how this can be made mandatory from a mobile device too?

    Kind regards,

    Murali

    Hi Murali,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Just to make sure that I understood what you're asking, do you want to allow users to not pay for their order when fill out a form and get back to it later using mobile devices?

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more, so I can help you better? It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Hi Camila,

    Thank you for responding.

    I have setup a form - https://form.jotform.com/241115125732243

The last field is the payment field which accepts a credit card or Paypal.

When using a laptop browser (edge, chrome, firefox) the form does not submit without completing the payment field.

whereas it allows to submit when the form is opened on a mobile device without completing the payment part (which should not be the case). Please advise.

    Kind regards,

    Murali

    Hi Murali,

Thanks for getting back to us. If I understand your situation correctly, you mean mobile user can submit the form without completing the payment options. Does this behaviour happen on the embedded form in your website? Are you using i-Frame? If no, I would suggest you to use i-Frame to embed the form. At the same time, I've just cleared the form cache as well. Can you try again and see if issue has been resolved?

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

    Hi Murali,

Thanks for getting back to us. I cleared your form's cache again to remove the piled-up cache in your forms that could be contributing to this problem. In the future, you can also Clear your Form's Cache from your end. Let me show you how:

    • On your My Forms page, hover your mouse on your Profile Avatar icon.
    • In the window that opens, click on Settings.

Mobile devices: Skip Payment Image 1 Screenshot 30

    • In the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Clear Cache. That's it, you're done.
