Good Morning,
Not all data is pulling through from Daily Observation Forms when download these as PDFs. We really need all of the information from these forms to pull through and appear on the PDF's. can you please look in to this?
Many Thanks

Hi Leon,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry, I don't see to which forms you're referring to. Can you provide us the URL or the ID of the forms for which the downloaded PDFs are missing data?
Can you also tell us when this is happening? Does this happens in the PDF documents attached to the notifications or autoresponder emails, or when downloaded by the form fillers from the Thank you page, or when you download the submissions as PDF from the forms tables?
It would also help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.
Once we have a better idea of what’s going on, we’ll be able to come up with a solution.

I believe this link will take you to the correct form
https://eu.jotform.com/tables/233494292377365
The form in question is Daily Observation Form 2024 V1.
it is when i download as PDF from the forms table. This is how we have always downloaded these in this was.
When i click on submissions to view all entries, and then select a form ( checking the box on left hand side of screen, beside the form), click on download as PDF, which then downloads the pdf. when i open the PDF, not all areas are downloading. for example, the sections:
What topic did the session include from Functional Skills Maths and English
Describe the actual activity undertaken
Did the activity match your plan
One positive statement regarding the session
Any additional activities - from your Half-Term plan?
Target 2
Observation 2
Did you meet your weekly plan objectives for this session?
Notes
Are you carrying any targets over to next week
Did you have to report a behaviour concern?
Anything else you want to add?
I have attached a screenshot of how the pdf shows, and as you can see there are many areas of data not downloading.
Can you please look in to this

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for getting back to us. I understand the issue, but I’ll need a bit of time to work out a solution. I’ll get back to you shortly.
In the meantime, let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it. Upon checking and testing your form, this is caused because the Clear Hidden Field Values settings is set to clear when the form is submitted, that's why fields that are hidden on your form are not shown in the PDF file when a submission is downloaded. Disabling this feature is easy, let me walk you through the steps:
- In Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Now, under Form Settings, click on Show More Options.
- Finally, scroll down to Clear Hidden Field Values and set it to Don't Clear.
That's it. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi,
Unfortunately this is still not pulling through all the data. Can you please take another look as we are losing too much of the information that we require.
Many thanks
Lucy

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for getting back to us. Can you confirm if you tried disabling the Clear Hidden Field Values settings? When I disabled the Clear Hidden Field Values on my cloned form, everything seems to be shown on the PDF file. Here's the screencast of my result:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The PDF that you download or attached to the alert emails are all coming from the PDF template found in the PDF Editor page. The current PDF template doesn't match the current version of the form. That results to other fields that are not included when you download the PDF copy of the form response.
To fix this, you have to create a new PDF template. This will generate a template based on the current version of the form. Let me show you how:
- Go to the PDF editor, or click here.
- Click on the New PDF button
- Select the New PDF Document.
Now, delete the old template to avoid confusion:
- Select the tab of the old template.
- Click on the 3 vertical dots on its right.
- Select the Delete option
Let us know if you need any more help.
