Stripe integration and QuickBooks: How to let form responders add the invoice to show how much they need to pay?

    Hello Jotform Support,

I want to integrate our Stripe account into Jotform so the Client can pay their invoice. However, I am wondering if it's possible to make a credit card form payment wherein the client will enter their invoice and it will show how much they need to pay. By the way, we made our invoices through QuickBooks online.

Looking forward for your support and assistance regarding this matter. Thank you.

    Hello Nadelienn,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. When you integrate your form through Stripe, you'll automatically receive the payment on the Stripe account added to your form. Unfortunately, it's not possible to let the form respondents enter their invoice, and it will show how much they need to pay. Once they enter their payment information, you'll get the payment instantly without them adding their invoice.

On the other hand, I suggest integrating your form through QuickBooks. By doing this, you can Create QuickBooks invoices from Jotform submissions and send customer and sales info to QuickBooks. When you process the QuickBooks integration, you need to take the extra step of creating a Zap in Zapier to integrate your forms with QuickBooks. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In the Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
    2. Select Integrations in the left corner.
    3. Search for QuickBooks and select it.Stripe integration and QuickBooks: How to let form responders add the invoice to show how much they need to pay? Image 1 Screenshot 50
    4. Next, you can either choose Create Customer or Create Invoice. Click on Next after.Stripe integration and QuickBooks: How to let form responders add the invoice to show how much they need to pay? Image 2 Screenshot 61
    5. If you’re integrating with QuickBooks for the first time, you’ll be taken to QuickBooks’ authentication page to log into your account. Click on Add Action once you're logged in.Stripe integration and QuickBooks: How to let form responders add the invoice to show how much they need to pay? Image 3 Screenshot 72
    6. Lastly, match your records to your submission data. Click on Save once done.Stripe integration and QuickBooks: How to let form responders add the invoice to show how much they need to pay? Image 4 Screenshot 83

It's very similar to choosing between Create Customer and Create Invoice, therefore if you want to create the necessary invoices, go with Create Invoice. We also have a guide about QuickBooks integration that you can check out and an instruction video on Jotform's QuickBooks Integration.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi,

Sorry, quick question if we Create QuickBooks invoices from Jotform submissions and we want to pay via Jotform - Stripe Payment is it possible to automatically pull out the amount that needs to be paid when we enter the invoice number? Or it's still not possible?

    Hi Nadelienn,

Thanks for getting back to us. Can you please provide more details of your referring to? Please note that all payments will be processed by the Payment Processors. Payment will be between the form owner and the payment gateway used in the form. For example, if you choose Stripe as your form's payment gateway, then as the user submits the form, it will pass the information to Stripe to validate it and process the payment. You'll then receive the payment on your Stripe account.

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this

    Hi Nadelienn,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, that is not possible. When integrating your form to QuickBooks, you can only send customer and sales info to QuickBooks, or create invoices from Jotform submissions. But it is not possible to do it the other way around.
