Email notifications issues

    2 questions:

    1) I added the mobile app so I can access submissions if I only have my phone, but I prefer to use the laptop version and need to reply to customers by email on my laptop. Now it is not sending emails. I thought they were integrated. If not, it is just confusing things.

    2) Related to the above, I signed up using my yahoo email but the email I use for business replies is different. I tried to change it but your email address verify system only works if the email and web page are on the same computer, which they are not.

    So then I tried to add my favored email address as a back up. Is the backup email address supposed to get email everytime it goes to the main one? Not working for me.

    Hi Katy,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understood correctly, are you replying to the Notification Email received when a form filler submits the form? If so, by default, when you reply to a notification email in your Yahoo email, the message goes to the form filler’s email address.

    You can change the Recipient Email under the Recipients tab in Notification Email if you want to receive the notification email to a different email address. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click Settings at the top.
    2. Go to the Emails tab.
    3. Hover your mouse over the Notification Email and click the Pencil icon to edit.

    4. Go to the Recipients tab and replace your preferred email address in the Recipient Email.
    5. Click Save.

    Thanks, but we're not communicating on this issue, I'll try some other things. I thought the backup email would solve it but it hasn't. Again, does the submission get sent to the main email AND the backup email, or only if the first email has a problem

    What about the first question regarding how the mobile and laptop versions interact. I need the submissions emailed

    Hi katyme, 

    Thanks for getting back to us. The Backup Email that you set on your account is for account recovery purposes only. Email notifications for your form will be sent by default to the login email for your account, and to other Recipients that you will add in the email. When you reply to emails, do you get an error message? If so, take a screenshot of the error message and include it in your reply.

    1. Click the Add Image button.
    2. A. Paste the image URL or upload the image from your device.
      B. Click the Add button to post the image on your thread.
