Weekly Appointment Planner widget: Run out error even though it is still available

    Hi Jotform team,

    So currently we open this form for parents to choose the time for the parents meeting of the end of school year. Weekly Appointment Planner widget: Run out error even though it is still available Image 1 Screenshot 30

    However, we are currently receiving lots of feedback about this issue (as the attached picture down here), I tried to delete the student names out of the list and add them in again but it did not work.

    Can you please help check and support me with this? Thank you so much!

    Hi principaloffice,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that the form is showing an error even though the selected option in the Weekly Appointment Planner is still available. If I'm not mistaken, the affected widget is the one that's shown when the 5.2 option is selected.

    I checked it and see that it's still available. It's possible that the issue may be related to an outdated form's cache which I have gone ahead and cleared. Can you try it again using a different browser and see how it goes? If the same thing happens again, let us know together with a screenshot of the console log.

    Keep us updated and let us know how it goes.

    Hi principaloffice,

    Thanks for getting back to us. I've cleared your form's cache in my previous response. Can you confirm if you've already tested it again and found the same results? If so, please let us know together with a screenshot of the error and the console log. It may also give us a better idea of what's happening if you can allow us to make a test submission on your live form.

    Here is the screen shot of console showed.

    And I just tried again, the same error still happening a lot, the parents of our school are complaining really harsh about this. This is the screenshot of console. It said run out again :(

    Is this anyway to fix it thoroughly, thank you!

    And please be noted it not just happened with one case, but many parents are facing the same problem, many students names from different classes showed with "ran out" error.

    I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

    As the issue can't be replicated on a cloned form, can we try making a test submission on your live form?

    As agreed, I've tested your live form and was able to submit it without any issues. Please check out the screencast below for my results:

    Can you try it again and see how it goes? If the same thing happens again, please share with us the screenshot of the console log again, after the error shows up.

    Hi Raymond,

    This error doesn't happen with every student but lots of students at different classes, their names still show run out and the form cannot be submitted as screen shot. I dont understand why. Can you please try different name and you'll encounter the problems I report here.

    I also attached the screenshot of some of many more students whose parents cannot register via Jotform.

    Hi principaloffice,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. You mentioned that you deleted the students from the list and added them again. Can you check your table's trash folder to see if the deleted entries were also purged? This might cause the issue. Let me show you how:

    1. In your Submission Table, click on the three vertical dot icon beside your tab.
    2. Under the dropdown, click on Trashed Entries. You will then see a dialog for the Trash folder.
    3. Select all the deleted entries by ticking the Select All box and clicking on Delete Forever.

    That's it! Test your form and see if the error no longer replicates. If the same thing happens again, we'll investigate it more to see if we can figure out what's going on.

    Hi Jefferson,

    We've been using Jotform for some times now and we know exactly how to delete the entries after I add them in again. Please help check the students in the list I sent you above, those cases are just some of lots of students whose parents cannot submit the form even they change browser or try again so many times.

    Please use the live link of ours and you'll understand what I am saying. This run out error is completely different! Please check the system, your IT team or something, I wouldn't report if there were no errors and it has been like this since yesterday. This situation is frustrating!

    Thanks for getting back to us. I’m sorry you're having issues with your form. This error will be shown if another user just selected this option and submitted the form. To prevent double selections. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

    However, I have gone ahead and cleared your  form cache? It is a good practice to delete the cache, so data are refreshed to avoid this type of issue in the future. You can do it easily. Let me show you how:

    1. Hover on your Avatar.
    2. Click on Settings.

    3. Scroll down and click on Clear cache option.

    Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again, let us know, and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on.

    Hi Arghya,

    Please please please use my live link and go a head test one of the students in the list here and you will understand what I am saying. Just stop clone the link or something you're doing right now and go to our link to test it out!

    I cleared cache, checked the entries, and checked in the submission and obviously none of those students in this list submitted the form before and how could they submit when the error happened right before it? And if they were able to submit without errors, I would not start this conversation.

    I sent you so many evidences up there and spotted the problem but have not receive the right answer to fix it! Please get in the link, choose the name/ class of the student in the list below accordingly and you'll understand. I do not expect to receive any more response from you using the sample videos or beating around the bush. This whole thread back and forth and not solving anything is just a waste of time.

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We’re sorry you're having difficulties with this. ​​I tested your form and had the same issue, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developer team.

    Although we don't know exactly when the issue will be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.

    Thanks for getting back to us. There haven’t been any updates yet. I know that it’s taking some time to resolve, and that’s very stressful. I’ve marked this as a Priority and reached out to our Developers again. Our Developers are working on this as fast as they can. As soon as we have an update, we'll let you know.

    Hi principaloffice,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help. When I checked your widget settings, I saw that Weekly Appointment Planner counts are not added for most of the widgets. Can you please add the counts, and try to send another submission? Let me walk you through it:

    • Click on the Wand icon next to the widgets.
    • Under Appointment times section, add {count} at the end of every item. For example, I added {1} for every item.
    • Scroll down and click on Update Widget.

    Can you give it a try and let us know how it goes? If you run into any other issues, let us know and we'll do more testing to see what's going on.
