Hi, we are a church looking to make a volunteer form with Jotform. However, we only collect information once a year. Is it ok to start a subscription, collect our responses, and then downgrade the plan to the free version for 10 or so months and then upgrade again? Thanks :)

    Hi Heather,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, you can upgrade your account and downgrade your plan to the Starter(Free) plan then upgrade again if needed. Please note that cancellation of subscription won't take effect until the end of the current billing cycle. You can check our Pricing page to view the inclussions of our plans. It's really easy to upgrade your account. Let me show you how:

    1. On your My Forms page, click on Pricing in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.

You can also upgrade your subscription on your account’s Upgrade/Billing page.

    2. On the Pricing page, choose the plan you want to buy.

    3. In the popup window, choose either a Monthly or Yearly payment schedule and either Credit/Debit Card or PayPal as the payment method.

Here’s an example of the Bronze plan:

After you click on Continue, you'll need to enter your Credit/Debit Card details.

If you choose to use PayPal, you’ll get redirected to the PayPal payment page to complete the payment. Check out this guide for more details about upgrading your account.

    Thank you - very helpful.
I am new to all of this - can you please look at what I am hoping to create
and tell me if it is possible with Jotform?
We want a church form where people can choose which areas they are gifted
    in, as per this screenshot:

Ideally, people can choose as many options as they like.
Then on the following cards, we would like the choices on this first
question to control what questions followed.
For example, if someone selected Administration, Helping and Hospitality,
when they ticked next, they would be presented with a series of questions
relating to opportunities to serve in Administration, followed by Helping,
followed by Hospitality - but each of those areas will have common spheres
within them (eg Administration in our Congregation, followed by
Administration in our Parish, then heading into Helping).
Eg these are sample cards for Administration options:

And then would follow similar for the other "Gifts".
This is the sample Excel spreadsheet where I am tagging (using "1") which
    Gifts apply to which task.
    Administration Cross-cultural ministry Teaching Encouragement
    Congregational
    Mark the church roll 1
Help to set-up and pack-up for church 1
Be on a team to help set the "vibe" for our services
Be on the Welcome Team 1 1
Care pastorally for our congregation 1
Provide meals for others in need 1 1
Coordinate occasional congregational events (eg picnics etc) 1
    Mission
Be an evangelist at English For Life (ESL) 1
Be a helper at English For Life (ESL) 1
Be a teacher at English For Life (ESL) 1
    Parish
Available for practical help of older members of church 1
    Catering for events 1
    Church cleaning
    Church office administration assistance
    Church property maintenance
    Church lawn mowing, grounds maintenance
    Computer design skills 1
Co-ordinating church events (eg. a Big Day In, community mission event etc)
    1
    So my questions are:
    1. Can I make a form to filter the Qs as outlined in the cards above?
    2. Is there a way to use a "tagging" thing to generate which options are
    included?
I'm sorry if this all doesn't make sense!
If you think we can use Jotform to do this, then I will subscribe to a
    plan.
    Thanks again for your help,
    Heather

    Hi heatherveitch,

Thanks for getting back to us. Jotform's Conditions feature lets you show questions based on the answers that people gave. Let me show you how to set it up:

    1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your form and click on Edit Form.
    2. In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu and drag-drop the fields you want to use as follow-up questions (Short Text fields are used in this example).
    3. Click on the Type a Question text and change it to the question you want to use.

Now, let's set up the conditions:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. Click on Conditions on the left of the page.
    3. Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Show/Hide Field.
    4. Set the conditions like you see below:
    • IF: Do you have a dog or a cat? (this is the question that has the choice that the form submitter needs to select)
    • STATE: Is Equal To
    • VALUE: Dog (the first choice)
    • DO: Show
    • FIELD: What is the name of your dog? (the follow-up question that you want to show)

Set up Conditions for all of the choices for your question. Check out the screencast below to see how your form will work after setting up the Conditions:

As for the tagging question, I am not sure if I understand it correctly. Do you want to simply count how many options have been selected?

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
