I need a subscription for 1 month. Can i just buy a monthly subscription and change it to free plan after that month?

Yes, you can choose monthly option when upgrading your account and to cancel the subscription when it is not needed any more:

Please also note that if you use PayPal as payment processor, the subscription will need to be cancelled within your PayPal account.
