My form crashed and elements are missing

    Hello,

I was working earlier today and suddenly the form crashed.

I got signed out with no reason, and when I signed back in, I saw some bizarre (from a previous period of yours I guess) graphics and then some elements (the on the top logo, the last field changes) where suppressed or non existent.

The go-back-to history tool doesn't help neither to revert the lost stuff.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Angelo

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Could you please provide us the form URL and what elements have disappeared or changed? There is no way form will change automatically, but we can take a look once you provide further details.

    We'll wait for your reply.

    The form URL : http://forms.sybares.com/82314104262343

The logo on the top of the form is vanished.
The changes I did in the "Produits Laitiers" & "Olives" fields are gone.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience. I have created a clone version of the form and the clone version is basically the same as the one you shared with us. If the changes were not showing in the Revision History Tool, the changes probably didn't save at all. I understand that there was an issue, but it could also be temporary. The Form Builder page is set to save changes automatically. May we know the browser or device that you were using when the issue happened? Also, about how long were you logged to your account when it automatically logged you out?

    Chrome,
    Macbook Retina Late 2013,
    Around 1 hour

It looked to run OK, at a certain point started to bug showing that the form was offline (it wasn't), then a message was coming up saying that the form was facing a problem and I had to refresh the page and after a few occurrences it got logged out by itself. Once logged back in, 1 hour of work gone + the logo was missing.

Somewhere in between I saw the user dashboard with a previous UI, like your previous website CSS style.

Note please that it is not the first time I face abnormal reactions like that when I work on a Jotform. But as it was about minor damages, I didn't react. This one is important though.

Having a .png file completely disappear and not been able to load it back? Why it doesn't exist in "My Images" folder, as it's a file I uploaded to jotform to use in my form?

Plus, it looks like the email notification system repeatedly bugs,
but lets attack that front after we solve the first one.

    Thanks

Thank you for the additional details. I have reviewed your form's revision history and I can see a lot of changes were done yesterday. Useful Guide: How-to-View-Form-Revision-History

I am not sure what time were the changes made at. Could you review the revision history and see if any of the changes and modifications you made are reflecting in the history?

About the uploaded images are being visible under My Image section. This is an issue we have reported to our Level-2 team for investigation already. Please, do not use space in the images names. E.g. Instead of Test Logo.png  name your logo TestLogo.png, this should make your images visible in the My Images section.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hello again,

I tried to go back in history but it didn't work. Apparently everything vanished!
So, I had to redo everything, I just hope no new big surprises like that in the future..

I still though face another problem:
The autoresponder notification email doesn't work.

When a form is submitted http://forms.sybares.com/82314104262343,  (passcode: 1000) I do receive an email when someone fills my form as an owner/creator.

But I don't receive as a user the autoresponder email (a copy of the order).

To help you a bit more,

    under the " EMAIL" field,
I have added a single choice field " Voulez-vous une copie par mail?" (do you want a copy by email?). So if someone puts his/her email, to be able to receive a copy.

To do so I created a condition with which every time the above single choice field is filled,
the EMAIL field gets copied in another hidden EMAIL field. And once the form gets submitted, I have added the hidden EMAIL field in the autoresponder email recipients.

It doesn't look to work though.
Or to say it better, it used to work a few weeks ago,
    but it doesn't work anymore.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Angelo

Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

Considering that you resolved your issue by recreating the form, I would just like to add that a session will expire in 2 hours. After that, you will be logged out from the account. However, all the changes you made in the form, should be saved. If the same issues happen again, please take a screenshot of the Form Builder. You can also get a screenshot of a console error report. We can then report the issue to our developers.

I will move your question regarding the Autoresponder Email to a new thread and we will provide you an answer there shortly - https://www.jotform.com/answers/1613716

     Hi Joanna,

I tried various combinations and I think the autoresponder email now works.

Apparently, one field to be valid as recipient for the autoresponder, it should not be "conditioned".

By the time I pulled out the desired aforementioned field from all the conditions (Show/Hide) I had it associated, the autoresponder was able to use the address properly.

There was though an additional trick to do: as I have a passcode permission in the beggining of my form, the "EMAIL hidden" field continued to appear, besides I had it in hidden mode.

So the trick I used was to move it and put it first on the top of the fields list in the Build mode,
    thus before the passcode field.

And it worked! The desired field stays hidden AND the email autoresponder can "read" it properly.

But all that was a quite capricious situation!

Your reply is related to your other thread, https://www.jotform.com/answers/1613716 but considering that you the issue is resolved, I will reply here.

If there was a condition to hide/ show the hidden email field, it is possible that the Autoresponder Email was not working because of the "Clear Hidden Field Values" option. This option is located inside of the Form Settings and if you are passing the values to conditionally hidden field the option should be set to Don't Clear.
